Can Nvidia's new GeForce GTX 295 beat ATI's Radeon HD4870 X2?

NVidia Reference GPU (yummy!)

The release of the GTX295 was meant to take the crown of the title "Fastest GPU in the planet" from HD4870 X2. ATI was dominating the high-end market with its 4800 series cards, and NVidia GTX280 and GTX260 trails on second place. Can Nvidia take the crown once more?
